Our standard full day is 9am-3pm, Monday to Friday, term time only.
If you require an earlier start (8am) or late pick up (4pm) these extra hours can be added to the full day.
Morning session (pick up before lunch)
Morning session (to include lunch)
If you decide to collect your child/children earlier than the session end time, the full session cost remains payable.
Children are able to book our early or late sessions on an adhoc basis or as a regular part of their nursery hours - depending on staffing levels. All adhoc sessions must be paid for at the time of booking or on the day of the session.
We reserve the right to charge a late fee if you are consistently late picking up your child at the end of their allocated session.
Please note: We charge a registration fee of £10.
The term after your child turns three, they will become eligible for 15 hours Government funded Early Years Education. At the beginning of that term you will be given a form to fill in (Parent Agreement Form) and sign, this requires you to state how many hours you will be claiming for your child at our nursery. The form is then returned to nursery in order for us to claim the funding.
Some families are entitled to 30 hours funding for their three and four-year-olds, for more information please go to https://www.childcarechoices.gov.uk/. Please note: The number of 30 hour spaces available is limited to ensure the financial sustainability of the nursery, so these are allocated via a waiting list.
Snack and Activity Charge
For all funded places for 3 & 4 year olds we charge a snack and activity charge, this is £1 per hour for each funded hour. This helps to cover the shortfall between the government funding and the cost of operation.
Government funding is intended to deliver 15 or 30 hours a week of free, high quality, flexible childcare. It is not intended to cover the costs of meals, other consumables, additional hours or additional activities. Parents can therefore expect to pay for any meals offered by the provider alongside their free entitlement. Parents can also expect to pay for other consumables or additional activities offered by the provider, such as nappies or trips.
At our Nursery this charge includes;
provision of snack
consumables such as craft supplies, toiletries and messy play resources
extra-curricular activities in the setting such as cooking, PE, and many others.
Government funding is also available for some two-year-olds whose parents meet the two-year-old funding criteria. If you think you may be eligible please speak to us or your local children's centre, alternatively you can apply via the Essex County Council website.
